Happy new year everyone

2013 is coming

Christmas dinner

A small mountain of gifts

My M&M's
Christmas is over, and we survived 21/12/12  ;o)  In other words 2013 will soon be here with new challenges to face.  I hope all of you had a wonderful christmas!  We celebrated the holiday at my parents house - 13 people at the dinner table! 4 children and 9 adults, so as you can see in one of the photos - there were a "few" christmas gifts this year..

My hopes for the new year is that my father will prevail over his cancer, and that my girlfriend and i can once again live under the same roof!  I also look forward to reading a book where my beautiful Mishelle will have a small part of her story told.   Melissa will be 9 next year and is making her father proud EVERY day.
Zulema's husband to be will turn 40 and maybe there's a wedding this summer? ;o)   So 2013 looks to be an interesting year, let's hope its a good one ( as they say in the song..).

Wishing all of you a VERY GOOD 2013!   Deseo a todos un feliz año nuevo - que todos sus deseos se cumple

Christmas is close

Christmas shopping inSweden
Christmas is closing in on us, and soon Santa Claus will bring smiles to many children alround the world.    Christmas is also for some of us a a time of mixed feelings, it is the time of year were we miss our loved ones the most. Going shopping for christmas gifts and not be able to buy my beautiful Mishelle gifts hurts just as much now as the first year.  This weekend many parents in Newtown, USA were also deprived of their children, just one week away form the holidays. My thoughts go out to each and every one around the world who has lost their child ♥

Thankfully i am blessed with Melissa - the most wonderful daughter anyone could ever ask for! This weekend she is with her mom and her family in the mountains celebrating an early christmas, but next weekend she and i will prepare for christmas here. A little decorating is in order i think  ;o)    Last tuesday we went to Sweden with her grandmother to do a little shopping and fortunately all out christmas gifts are now ready!  All that is missing is decorate the house so  it looks more "christmasy".....

Thursday the 13'th our beautiful Margaret celebrated her birthday in Lima. My biggest christmas wish is to be able to celebrate her next birthday together!!!!!   I think everyone here in Norway misses my Margis. Te extrañamos muchisimo Margis!!

From all of us - to all of U - have a wonderful week before christmas - don't stress to much, the holidays will come as always anyway  ;o)

Autumn in Norway

At Melissa's school
Well , its that time of year agian.  The leafs are falling off the trees and the rain the keeps falling. It's a beautiful time of the year, but also a sad one because this means that winter is close.  I am NOT a big a fan of the snow and cold as you might have guessed....
Melissa has started her activities after school and is attending an sports class and has entered a school band, so her week is filling up fast. Last monday her school also celebrated their 15'th birthday and the whole school celebrated by putting on a show for the parents as well as the mayor in Hobøl.
Last weekend i also became a "father" to Mavina Memina Coqeta Dahl Huaman! A little english Cocker Spaniel that Margaret bought to keep her company in Peru.  Mavina is the cutest little puppy you can imagine!   And she is house clean already!
Next weekend is a "busy" one.. In Peru Melissa's grandmother is celebrating her 50'th ( a year late...) and here in Oslo Storm Amaru will be celebrating his first        birthday with a big party.  And as if that is not enough party for one weekend - halloween is also being celebrated  - which means my nieceYadirha celebrated her 4'th birthday.  All in all a busy weekend coming up....

Happy Halloween to everyone - and FELIZ CUMPLE pa Zenobia y Storm y Yadirha

An amazing visit to Euro-Disney

Ready 2 enter Disneyland Paris

Outside the hercules aircraft
Friday the 14'th the norwegian support organization for children with cancer and the Royal nowegian air force invited us to Paris & Disneyland Europe. We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge hotel just a 15 minute stroll away from the entrance to the park. There were children who had lost a sibling, children who had won the fight against cancer and children still batteling their disease. All eager to spend a weekend with Mickey and Donald and the rest of Disney's characters. 2 days in Disneyland and 1 day in Paris later - everyone was smiling and laughing, and had made new friendships. Melissa keeps talking about everything that she did there, remembering every little detail, every carousel she took and all the things she did with her newfound friends.

Thank you SKB
& the 335-squadron from the Royal Norwegian Air Force

You have given us memories to last a life-time!

Back in Viking land

2 days ago i got back from Peru. I am now officially engaged to a beautiful, amazing girl and unless The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration decides to make my life impossible, we hope to get married early next year here in Norway. Having to spend such a long time being seperated is truly unbearable, but we use Skype on a daily basis and try to make life easier that way.   Melissa is sad though that she can not be here NOW, because Melissa loves her "bonus-mom" and wants her here with us ASAP.

This past weekend Peru celebrated their 191'th indepence - Fiestas Patrias. I got to celebrate this day in Oslo with Zulema and her family, alongside many other peruvians. And Melissa was dressed up for the occasion and performed a traditional dance in front of everyone present. I was a VERY proud father ;o).  Here a few photos of the celebration, not as many as i would have liked to show - but at least a small glimpse;

This summer Melissa spent the first 2 weeks togehter with me, before she will now be spending 4 weeks with her mother and her family. The house feels a little empty without her, but i know she is having fun and will have lots to talk about when she comes home again. Anyway i have many projects in the house that ought to be done this summer... All i wish for is a few days WITHOUT rain!!  It seems that it is not only in the bible that it rains for 40 days and 40 nights....    Norway this summer has been very wet so far, and it does not seem to stop. Mishelle's place is a challenge, since all flowers get swamped and has to be changed ever so often.  It's late july and i've only been to beach once this summer - and even then the water was freezing cold ( at least for an "old" man.. -Melissa took a dip as you can see).  Let's hope for a better autumn.
This week my parents received their new car; a Golf plus.  Nice car - i got to drive it today and enjoyed it.
If all goes well this summer, i might have a (nice?) surprise in a few weeks to talk about. I just have to wait a little longer to see if the pieces fall into place....   "To be continued"?  hehe

I wish U all a wonderful summer - rainy days or not

Fishing at Trytetjern

Melissa and Zulema playing at Trytetjern
Melissa and i have spent a week together with Zulema & Ståle and their son Storm in Nesbyen. A great week  with visits to the bear park and the local museum. But the most popular activity turned out to be fishing. Melissa and Zulema enjoyed the excitement, waiting to see if the           fish would bite or not. fortunately it did and the girls where happy.

I miss u Snoopie

Today marks the second year without my little baby girl. Mishelle Alyson left us at the age of 3 on this day 2 years ago, because of a tumor called AT/RT. Central nervous system (CNS) atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT) is a very rare, fast-growing tumor of the brain and spinal cord. It usually occurs in children younger than three years of age, although it can occur in older children and adults. Even though international studies show that this tumor COULD be genetic, the doctors in Norway have no interest in pursuing this aspect. I have tried to take a DNA test, but was told that there no founding for this kind of research.  Sadly enough it would seem as a wealthy country like Norway do not have the interest in finding answers to this aggressive tumor. Or at least that is how a father is left feeling after having tried to face the health system.

The most beautiful angel in heaven!
I miss you every day of the year my litle Snoopie!
