Last chemo of 2009

Today Mishelle began her last chemotherapy of 2009. At this moment we still do not know if we will be able to spend new years eve at home or at the local hospital in Fredrikstad, so we're making plans for both options.. hehe
We have had a almost a whole week at home during the holidays and here are a few photos from last week. Hope u enjoy.

Good news and not so good news

Hi ya all,

Last week Mishelle tokk her MRI photos and they were not quite as good as we would have liked them to be... The total volume of cells stay the same, even after so many chemotherapy's. And according to the doctor it might even seem that some of the cells have grown a little -but this is not confirmed. So we did not get the christmas gift we had hoped for.. but we're NOT giving up!!

The good news is that we for the first time since 9/11 are staying home - all 4 of us. We will be celebrating christmas together at home! That IS good news! :o)
Today my 2 wonderful girls also became local celebrities...hehehe as the local televison interviewed them after having seen a show at the local hospital.. Can't wait till i see my m & m's on television!

Coming up on a new week....

Mishelle and i are getting ready for another week. For mom and dad a very! scary week.. on thursday is her MRI when we will learn if the chemo is working or not.. So please - everyone think positive thoughts on thursday.....

In other news : Today Margaret Sherly leaves her teen years behind her :o) FELIZ CUMPLEANOS Margis!!!!

My mother in law has also just arrived in norway and will be staying with us till the end of next summer. It's nice to have her here to help out in these times of trouble..... Bienvenida a noruega mami :o)

And of course i have a few photos taken this weekend. As you can see, the nurses here in Fredrikstad are taking very good care of my little princess...:o)

we're back at the local hospital

After having recieved her chemotherapy in Oslo, Mishelle and i went back to our local hospital in Fredrikstad where Mishelle was recieved as a princess :o) ( Which of course she is in my opinion...) Most likely we will be staying here till monday, and then we hope to spend a couple of days at home. Thursday the 17'th is the next magical date for us. Then Mishelle will take her next magnetic resonance imaging photos and we will have more information as to the AT/RT inside her. Please keep your fingers crossed..!!
Fortunately the doctors have agreed to let us celebrate christmas at home, so the chemo she was to recieve the 22'nd have been delayed untill the 28'th instead. In other words we get to enjoy this christmas together as a family.

As usual i have a few photos for you all to enjoy. Mishelle have helped decorate the christmas tree in Fredrikstad, and she have made ginger snaps. The third photo is when she by accident pulled out her probe..hehehe

I'd also like to say THANK YOU to the staff here in Fredrikstad. You have really helped us through this so far. So from the bottom of my heart - Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

Mishelle's first visit to the movies!

We have had almost two weeks now at the local hospital in Fredrikstad. Mishelle had to wait an extra week here because her bloodvalues was not ready for another chemotherapy. But next week we are back in business again.... Everyone here in Fredrikstad have been so sweet to us and done everything to make us feel "at home". I know some of you will be reading this - so THANK YOU everyone at barnepost, SØF :o)
Also thank you to the cinema here in Fredrikstad who opened up just for us, in order to let Mishelle attend her first screening at the movies.. A privat screening..never thought i would have one of those..hehehe
