This past weekend Peru celebrated their 191'th indepence - Fiestas Patrias. I got to celebrate this day in Oslo with Zulema and her family, alongside many other peruvians. And Melissa was dressed up for the occasion and performed a traditional dance in front of everyone present. I was a VERY proud father ;o).  Here a few photos of the celebration, not as many as i would have liked to show - but at least a small glimpse;

This summer Melissa spent the first 2 weeks togehter with me, before she will now be spending 4 weeks with her mother and her family. The house feels a little empty without her, but i know she is having fun and will have lots to talk about when she comes home again. Anyway i have many projects in the house that ought to be done this summer... All i wish for is a few days WITHOUT rain!!  It seems that it is not only in the bible that it rains for 40 days and 40 nights....    Norway this summer has been very wet so far, and it does not seem to stop. Mishelle's place is a challenge, since all flowers get swamped and has to be changed ever so often.  It's late july and i've only been to beach once this summer - and even then the water was freezing cold ( at least for an "old" man.. -Melissa took a dip as you can see).  Let's hope for a better autumn.
This week my parents received their new car; a Golf plus.  Nice car - i got to drive it today and enjoyed it.
If all goes well this summer, i might have a (nice?) surprise in a few weeks to talk about. I just have to wait a little longer to see if the pieces fall into place....   "To be continued"?  hehe

I wish U all a wonderful summer - rainy days or not
