Back from Huancayo

We just arrived back in Lima after a visit to my mother-in-law's hometown; Huancayo. There was a festival going on there and we got to see a lot of folkloric dance, typical of the region. And of course met with some of the family living there.
On a personal note; the highest point on our journey was 4, 818 meter above sealevel - a new record for Melissa and me!
Now it is time to start planing our journey back home. I miss my Snoopie and need to visit her again! I'm sure once i have spent a day or two at home -- i will miss my family here in Peru, but right now Mishelle is on my mind almost 24/7.

Back in Lima

-after 4 days on the road. We have taken Melissa & Mishelle to Cuzco, Pisac, Ollantaytambo AND Machu picchu. Melissa loved it and has walked alot around the different sites. But i think her favourites were; taking a bath in the hotsprings of Aguas caliente and the 4 hours spent in Macchu Picchu. I am about to hit the sack after a loooong day ( wich reminds me = NEVER fly with Taca airlines if you don't have to!!! ), but here are a few pictures from our adventure. And if you ever get the chance - visit Macchu Picchu!! It still takes my breath away - it realy is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Tomorrow we'll throw a peruvian style childrens party for Melissa. She has missed her little sister a lot this last week, so i think this is "just what the doctor orderd" ;o)

Huaraz y mas

Melissa, Zulema and Yoselin has spent 3 days in the moutains here in Peru. They went to a place called Huaraz to the north and as the pictures show - it's rather high up... ;o) The highest point on their tour was 4, 516 meters above sealevel!

Mishelle's tomb stone has arrived

Today Mishelle's tomb stone arrived. even though i have not seen it "live" yet, i think it looks the way we wanted it to. If you ever pass by, be sure to stop and say hello to our ♥♥Snoopie♥♥.

Sandbording in the desert

a few photos from our trip to Ica, Nazca and Paracas. My favourite was Ica - Huacachina! Sandbording and driving a boogey at full speed in the desert! Beautiful place ;o) Seeing the Nazca lines was also a dream come true. My brother in law, Andy was our designated driver and the entire tour came to more than 1000 km! Mishelle was with us everywere - we wrote her name in the sand at all locations we arrived at!! ;o)
